In short

Constitution Day marks the promulgation of Thailand's first permanent constitution on 10 December 1932, six months after the revolution that ended absolute monarchy. It is a public holiday, and one with a certain amount of dry humour attached to it locally: Thailand has adopted twenty constitutions since, most recently in 2017. Observance is largely ceremonial, centred on the Democracy Monument in Bangkok.
